Getting Controller Working - Logitech G920
Hello All,
We're struggling to get either an XBox controller or (the more desired) Logitech G920 Driving Force Racing Wheel working with CraftFX. Is there anything we need to do in particular to get it working (I'd presumed it would work 'out of the box'.)?

As longs as the controller is recognized by Windows it should be able to be recognized by CDS. One thing that you need to keep in mind is to make sure that the controller is turned on before starting the 3d program/CDS and once it is turned off it will not be recognized unless the controller is turned on and restart of the 3d program is made.
Was the controllers turned on before start of the 3d program?

Re: Getting Controller Working - Logitech G920
I have the same problem with the driving wheel G920. It is recognized but only for the button but not the wheel and pedals.
I have tried with X360 controller emulator program on top but no good result yet. We are doing a movie and would like to develop a pipeline with CDS
Is there a suggestion or should I have new other device to plug. (BTW I am using Maya)
Thank you

We do not have a G920 to test in office, so we are not able to test on our side.
Does the steering wheel show in Game Controllers list:
and does it show movement when steering the steering wheel in it's properties?

Sorry for the delay,
I wanted to do some verification. I have a joystick and 2 differents wheels. Joystick and old wheel sound to work but the G920 (the newest) sound to work only from the cross arrow.(see attachment) and it respond in game controller

So the thing that is called "Wheel Axis" in the windows interface is the one that is shown first of the attachedments. So, non of them move if you turn the wheel? Well if it does not then we are not able to see this and thus not able to detect in Craft Director Studio.martin3dfx wrote: ↑Wed May 26, 2021 6:50 pmSorry for the delay,

Re: Getting Controller Working - Logitech G920
The first picture (cross button) is the only axis that CDS recognized in Maya (H/Axis) but no other axis available. But in the window's controller Properties, the Wheel control the Wheel Axis like it should be.
It looks like there is an interference between the wheel and the cross button in CDS, and the cross button is the only one that CDS recognized. !!
Anyway we have a very old wheel in here that work ok, it is too bad because the other wheel G920 is a much better one, and we want to achieve the best quality. I try to convince the team that simulation with craft will do a better job that key framing cars!
Thank you

It finally worked, it was lots of remapping and program on top to make it work. It is not 100% but at less it works...
Thank you

Glad to hear that you found a workaround. Another thing that I suggest is the use the Autonomous mode for animation of the cars. Easier to control and adjust if needed.martin3dfx wrote: ↑Fri May 28, 2021 11:34 pmIt finally worked, it was lots of remapping and program on top to make it work. Please share the workaround for others to know if they are after a solution, thanks.
