creating a path animation
hello guys,i am trying to make a path follow animation for a car in 3ds max..i tried making a CV curve and adding it as the path constraint but the car doesn't follow the target mesh properly because the car is slower than the target mesh speed..also in the corners car tends to move away from the road even though CV curve is inside the path and linked the ground to the GravityDirectionMesh..this might sound stupid but I'm new to craft director and i would really appreciate if you could tell me how to fix this or direct me to some sources..thanks in advance

Hi Vold3morT,
You need to raise the "Gas Pedal Maximun (Forw/Backword) of the input properties to a higher value in order for the 4-Wheeler to catch the TargetMesh.
With autonomous mode the 4-Wheeler is always trying to catch the TargetMesh and does not know where the TargetMesh has been. So if the 4-Wheeler falls behind it will cut the corners and not follow it's trail. Keep in mind that you might need to compensate the curve slightly in corners to compensate.Vold3morT wrote: ↑Sat Jan 11, 2020 11:48 pmalso in the corners car tends to move away from the road even though CV curve is inside the path and linked the ground to the GravityDirectionMesh..this might sound stupid but I'm new to craft director and i would really appreciate if you could tell me how to fix this or direct me to some sources..thanks in advance

If you have the speed you desire but the 4-Wheeler Extended cut the corners slightly to much then you would need to adjust the curve to compensate making the target mesh take a wider path. Does this make it a bit more clear?Patrik Martin wrote: ↑Mon Jan 13, 2020 9:29 amIf you have the speed you desire but the 4-Wheeler Extendedd
