Problem with overlapping mesh ground

Post by dv2000 » Mon Nov 19, 2018 7:23 pm

Hi we have tram tracks above a flat ground. All is a part of one mesh. Your system ignores train tracks above and wheels still touch the bottom main plain, When big mail plain is deleted only then it detects train tracks. Not sure if it is a bug,

wheel go through tram tracks

Hi dv2000,

I tested the scene and I can not find any problems with it. Are you able to make a recording with the issue and send?

Also, take note that the 4-Wheeler Extended simulates tyre pressure and might therefor look like it is under the ground. It might be that you need to turn that off.

Thanks I Will send another scene shortly.

heavy scene problems (unfortunately cannot make it simple. even isolation does not help)

If one car is recorded and I have another car chasing it. After the second car is recorded it ends up in front of a chased car. Not sure if CPU just cannot create keys fast enough and what I saw while recording at the end does not match to a final result as far as timing.

The same happens if you run resimulation? Again, share the scene and I can have a look.

Hi Patrik,
here is the scene link https://we.tl/t-BJevbouLLg

sometimes it works sometimes car just goes through the hills. You can see in the example it goes through the hills. If you detach the bottom plane then car will see hills. If you reattach the bottom plane car will see only the plane and not hills. Thanks

Sorry Idont have this file anymore. It seems that a lot of problems with cars falling through mesh after mesh objects are merged can be fixed with reset Xform
