Multiple Ground Meshes

Post by patrick58d » Thu Feb 24, 2011 6:37 pm

In our scene we'd like to use multiple meshes as a ground plane without combining them into one mesh. Is their a way to accomplish this with parenting? We have tried different hierarchy combinations without any success. In this craft tutorial video this topic is briefly mentioned at around 27 seconds and the possibility of parenting is mentioned. http://www.youtube.com/user/craftanimat ... cHtpSIvJC8

We are running craft version 10.1.4x64 in Max 2011. Thanks in advance!

Parent/Linke the ground meshes to the GravityDirectionMesh. This only works for the 4-Wheeler Extended.

Hi Patrik,

Thank you for your reply. This is exactly what I have done. I've parented (linked in the case of MAX) the GravityDirectionMesh to the multiple ground meshes with no success.

Try the other way around. The meshes to the GravityDirectionMesh.

Hi Patrik,

Thank you for your reply. I have tried ever possible parenting combination, and none seem to work including parenting the ground meshes to the GravityDirectionMesh.

Strange... are you able to place a link to the scene so that I can have a look at it? Remove the things that are sensitive if you like. Also it's good if you tell me which version and program that you are using.
