Right now, I've moved both front wheels of my 4WheelerExt so that they reside in the same place. Feels a little dodgy but it looks pretty good when driving. Any ideas on if I should do this any other way?

How can I create a 3 wheeler?

Nope, that is the way I would have done it. You can try to separate the distance a little just to get a better suspension going, otherwise simply stiffen up the rear suspension.
