Skid brake locks'em up

First, is there any way to make the skidbrake only effect the rear wheels?
Second, is there any way to fade them on? All 4 wheels instantly lock up the moment it's touched. The dynamics of the vehicle look and work perfectly- woldn't want that to change much, but the wheels locking up so hard kills the shot. I can hand animate the rear wheels slowing down, and even animate the front wheels rolling to a stop, but just wondering if i'm missing a quick fix.

As of now you can't, but it has been put to the features-to-add list. As is the drifting feature.
The non-immediate locking is also a good point, added!
