Sound check. It's time to fire off this development blog, and give you guys a peek under the bonnet of Craft Director Tools. I take it you have a good understanding what Craft Director Tools can do by now, and the really fancy functionality that comes with such an advanced tool. But have you ever imagined the depth required to make it work?
Today, Craft Director Tools is compatible with 9 versions of Maya, 7 versions of 3ds Max, Pc and Mac, 32-bit and 64-bit. Each version with it's own interpretation on how a plugin such as CDT should work. Recently we raised the stakes and ported CDT to the Mac which has turned out into a real adventure. And very soon we will release support for yet another large modelling software. New software, same Craft Director Tools. Our goal is to make CDT look the same, regardless on what modelling program you use. And this is where we come in.
Our plugin developers make things look cool. We make things work. This is serious business.
With the recent porting projects, we feel we have somewhat neglected some important maintenance on our core system. A few bugs has been left hanging, some new features is yet to see the day. With the porting project finished, we will get back to the source. And make things work.
You are invited to participate.
