Forum - Craft Animations - 3d animation tools

Which art colleges are the best and have good animation programs? I'm gonna be a senior in high school this year and need to get my butt in gear looking at colleges! I intend to major in animation, so I want to find the best college and animation program that I can. If possible, it would be nice to stay relatively close to Ohio, but that isn't my number one priority...

It's not close, but I went to the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). I graduated some years ago (1999) with a BFA in Computer Art and they had some good facilities (they are probably very good now). Your chances of finding a school with a CGI program is much better now than it was back in the 1990s (you pretty much had to live in NY or LA then). Many of my co-workers over the years have gone to one of the Art Institutes http://www.artinstitutes.edu/. That might be an idea.
