Maya Freezing

This is my first time using Craft Director and I'm having a problem with it freezing up. As soon as I start Craft Director in Maya I get a spinning wheel that never goes away. System specs below.

Mac OSX 10.6.4
Maya 2010 (Educational Version, floating license)
Craft Director Studio Mac 10.1.4

I must say that I do not have any particular suggestion other then to re-install the tool and test if that helps maybe Activate/Deactivate from the plug-ins manager also.
