Hello, I downloaded the 20.1.2 demo from the official website and installed it in 3dsmax2019, but when I clicked on one of the tools, it prompted no response and 3dsmax immediately jammed.
Can you help me solve this problem?
Thank you very much!

Hi,
Thank you for posting. Is this the same for any tool that you create or a specific one?
Best Regards,
Patrik

Yes, the same thing happens with any tool.
It also causes another phenomenon: when 3dsmax is restarted, there is no response after entering the main interface of 3dsmax.But when I delete the file "craftdirectortoolsadaptor_3dsmax2019. Gup" after the 3dsMax is back to normal.

This "freezing" issue most often happens when you have a license pointer that is not able to connect to the license server. Do you have a license server pointer in your license folder? If so, try to move it away for the license folder and try again to start 3ds max with "craftdirectortoolsadaptor_3dsmax2019.gup" installed correctly.
If it is the above issue you need to fix the connection between the workstation and the server.

Hello, I have tried to do it your way, but I still haven't fixed the problem. And I found that the same problem occurred in 3dsmax2016.I don't know if there is something wrong with my operation. Can you give me a more detailed operation steps?Or another way to solve the problem.
Thank you very much!

We have made an extra check and noticed that there is a strange behavior with the trial license. If you hit evaluate it actually start the trial and it is installed however you do not get any notification about this at all.
So once you have clicked "Evaluate" just close the window and create a new instance of the tool and you will notice that it will create without any issues (unless you have already used a trial period for that specific tool before on the same workstation).
We will make an update to sort this out.
If you are experiancing issues or need an extened trial license feel free to
contact us and include your MAC-address and we would be happy to help out.

I just downloaded and installed the version 1 demo.
Id had one of the v1 release candidates installed, and when I went to run it this evening, I was informed that it had expired, please go to the web site and get the newest demo.
So I did.
I removed the karmaFX folders from the VST plugins folder, installed the new demo, told Tracktion2 to re-scan for plugins, tried to insert the plugin into a track, and got the same error.
did I miss something, or has the expiry date not been re-set for the demo version?
thanks
Hi Alexirosy,
I am a bit confused. What plugin are you trying to use?
