Surface problem

Post by MRaaJ3D » Mon Jan 05, 2009 9:08 am

The car doesn't ride on the surface, starts from the Grid & moves along the grid path . I have parent constrained the surface to gravity tool & have followed accurately as told in tutorials nevertheless, pressing record the craft car & the model comes on to the grid. :(
I am not able to animate the car on my respective surface.

Any Suggestions ............... pl......ease.

Please help

Thank ya

Hello MRaaJ3D,

My guess would be that you've used a Parent Constraint instead of a regular parenting. Here's one way of doing this:

First select _GravityDirectionMesh (the red arrow) then hold down the Shift-key and click on the ground object to add it to your selection.
Now either through the menus, select Edit -> Parent, or use the keyboard shortcut: p .

Hopefully this is what went wrong and solves the problem.
