Car race scenario

Is there a way to set up two vehicles "racing" each other down a highway scenario?!? I only have the 4 Wheel Ext plugin.

Robert,
Couln't you set up 2 cars and have them both controlled seperate input devices?
Then you could race each other and record it.

So you mean, use TWO controllers (gamepads).. and have another person drive the second car?!? I'll clone the car and try it!

Hey David, that works! But Im gonna look for a more "controlled" way to run them on a highway...that way as I film then one speeds up over the other and vice versa as they take turns etc.
But what you suggested is a good starting point.

If you use a SSC with autonomous mode, and attach a DIL (direct input link) to the carriage/dolly you will be able to control the cars quite rigorously.

He doesn't have the SSC, just the 4wext.

hmm, right. Well in that case one could of course use (the more cumbersome) motion path keyframing on a DIL cage and then attach the target to the actuator. Acutally, not a DIL if it's lacking, but rather two 1D-translators (with the top one's cage parented to the bottom one's actuator).
