Forcing Time-Distance Locations

To use the craft tools and force the vehicle to be in dictated positions
(i.e. a reconstructionist indicates a vehicle was traveling 70 MPH at a specific time and place, then 2 seconds later was at Point X and Speed Y)
is it better to use the ChassisRelocatorMesh rather than the TargetMesh?

Thanks,

I tried to use the ChassisRelocatorMesh method and it did not work correctly.

We set key frames at the begining and ending of the segment we wanted to adjust, then with Autokey On we tried to redirect the car body.

The car was redirected for one frame, then returned to the previous positions.
Is there something we are missing?

Thanks,

We did get the ChassisRelocatorMesh method to work properly after some experimentation.

Will the Craft Spline Speed plug-in work with Craft 4wheelerExtended?
Can we use the waypoint setup to change the velocity of our vehicles at certain points?

Please advise.

Thanks,
David

Absolutely! They go together like Gin and Tonic (I for one think that Spline speed controller functionality should be built in the 4Wheeler Extended). We've got a great Tutorial on those two in combination. Advanced Autonomous Techniques for 4WExt using SSC (Spline Speed-Controller)

Film: Tutorial renderings (car on a race track) (49MB)
Camtasia: Animating a Craft 4-Wheeler Extended on a race track using Craft Spline Speed-Controller (51min 189MB)

It's already on and they get around it. We IP-ban all the spammers so maybe one day we will have blocked them all (as if, but a man can dream).
