3d animation

Post by frastancy » Mon Oct 15, 2012 11:29 am

What is the best free 3d animation application software to get for a beginner? Hey I was just wondering what would be a really good 3d animation application software? Something where you can create your own 3d characters and make them do action and etc. In short an application for character designing.

Blender. (www.blender.org)

At the commercial level, no one is using Blender.

In my opinion, the best 3D animation software are:

1) 3ds Max 2013
2) Cinema 4D R14
3) Maya 2013
4) Houdini
5) Softimage

That is impressive Ive wanted to make a MoL Trilogy style animation for so long, and I wish I had the patience to do it.

I dont think it is done in Anime Studio, they are just promoting their 3D animation here in the Animation sub-forum. You can put any type of animation here, not just AS stuff.
