Crash after animation set up

Post by cyb213 » Tue Nov 18, 2008 3:24 pm

hey ppl!
first off i'd like to say that this is a superpowerful plug-in and i m loving it!
but lets get straight to the problem:
i created some animation of 4wheeler. as long as i keep working on the scene, everything seems to be fine. then i save the file and turn off 3dsmax. the next time i try to open the same scene , max crashes... i tried to unplug all nodes before saving and saved the file. reopenning the file was unsuccessful again :(
any suggestions on what it might be?
thanx

This sounds very odd Cyb213. Try (re-)installing the latest version of Craft Director Tools and see if that helps. No need to uninstall before installing, just make sure 3ds MAX isn't running when you install it.

Are you running 3ds MAX 32-bit or 64-bit? If possible, please send your scene to support@craftanimations.com and we'll take a look at it.

the file doesn't open neither in 32 nor in 64 bit 2008 max... :(
it says
"an error has occurred and the application will now close.
do you want to attempt to save a copy of the current scene?"

should i send this file straight to that email with no special subject in the subject line?

Yes sure, that will be ok. Unless it's too big, in that case I can set up a temporary FTP account for you.

I’ve tried opening the scene on three 64-bit workstations, using 3ds MAX 2008 and it works on all of them.
Maybe you can try and uninstall Craft Director Tools and then install the latest version again and see if that helps. Please let me know how it turns out.
