Using breaks by keyframe ?

Post by MaximilianPs » Thu Aug 21, 2008 1:19 pm

Hello there,
i'm thesting the 4weeler 'cause i'm working for an assurance, i'm trying to reconstruct an incident, so my first problem was to have the veicles at the right speed and end both run on a specific position, thnx to your tutorial and to chassis repositioner i've made it correctly, but the veicle stop the run slowly, while i need to use breack and stop the run in a violent way.

on this kind of scenes the measure and centimeter are extremely important, indeed until now, i've always rigghed the cars by hand and the animation was done frame by frame.

i've to admit that your tools are amazing but i'm feel a bit uncomfortable :?

so, can i tell to use breaks in a "non real time" way ?

thnx in advice.
Max.

Hello Max,

In the configuration window, in the group called "Input Property Parameters", and in this group there is a setting called "ABS Brake Maximum". Increase this value to up the breaking power of the vehicle. For example, you can set the value to "1" and you will have a pretty much instant stop. If timing is crucial, use the slow-motion factor in Craft Director Tools main window to get more control over the timing of the stop.

Good luck and let us know if you still need help or have any other questions!
