Suggestions for emulating "Universal Pictures" slate?

Hi There,

Which Camera Tools do you think would make it very easy to do a very streamlined animation that mimics the one found in the Universal Studios opening film slate? Please see here for an example of what I am referring to:

I was thinking of using the MultiStateCam tool. I would setup probably three or four "wanted state" camera and then have the main camera interpolate between all of them. Is that too involved, or would I have more flexibility if I used the SplineSpeed Controller?

Any suggestions would be great!
