Hi all,
I have a problem with exporting my animation to a FBX in Maya 2011 32-bit. I used the 4-Wheeler Free plugin and animated just the dummy car, but I can´t make a working FBX which contains the
baked animation. Once I managed to get it to work, but after that I had no luck. Don´t know what settings I had on there.
Could someone help me and tell me what exact settings i must make in order to produce a working FBX file? Thank you.

Re: Maya 2011 FBX export
You only like to export the "baked" animation or the CDS information as well? My suggestion if you only like to have the animation is that you un-plug the scene from CDS so it's not connected and then try to export.

Re: Maya 2011 FBX export
My aim is to export just the animated Dummy car that pops up when I chose 4-Wheeler Free. I have the animated dummy car in Maya and want to export that scene, including the ground-object to a FBX.
The reason is that I want to render the animation in Modo. It actually worked once, but god knows what I did to accomplish that...
I tried several things incl.:
1. Just animate the car. Export everything to FBX with "Animation" checked and "Bake animation" checked and unchecked.
2. Animate and unplug the car. Export everything to FBX with "Animation" checked and "Bake animation" checked and unchecked.
3. Animate and unplug the car. Bake animation in Maya. Export everything to FBX with "Animation" checked and "Bake animation" checked and unchecked.
Result: a static Mesh in my FBX. Maybe I missed a step or forgot to check / uncheck something in the FBX export options, dunno.
Maybe someone can send me a basic FBX (preferably from Maya) file that includes an animated 4-Wheeler, for testing. That would be great.
Cheers, Chris

Re: Maya 2011 FBX export
I just tested to export from Maya 2011 to FBX and then open in the file in Motionbuilder and that work without any problem did not even bake or unplug.
Here is the file if you like to test: http://www.craftanimations.com/tasks/si ... x_test.zip

Thank you Patrik!
Mhm, I can import the FBX into Modo, but no keys are shown.
