Tracks for Crawler Extended

Post by rex1825 » Mon May 10, 2010 1:36 pm

...I have big time problem with tracks, when I set them, by following tutorial that comes with application, it seems that tracks don't react at all... & when I start simulation, tracks are lunched in air just so... what to do?

Cheers & tnx...

Hi Rex,

This is usually caused by too much tension on the tracks. Make sure the tracks have free play between support wheels (they must not intersect anywhere at start)

Also, make sure you have sufficient space between the ground wheels and the ground for room for the tracks. If you base the crawlertrack's wheel positions on the crawler, you need to make the crawler's wheels slightly larger than the crawlerTracks. Otherwise the tracks will be forced through the ground, making the physics engine go berserk.
