2008-11-13 - System log: Swoosh!

Yesterday we finally managed to finish of the final bundle! Even though Jonas is still fixing a final problem with the mac version, i do consider the project finished. Now we can get right on to the next. Fixing some leftover stuff. First item is Maya. Don't get me started on Maya. It's always been ...

2008-11-12 - System log: One of those days

The plan was to finish off the latest bundle today. Even though we have basically automated most of the packaging process (i.e, making the installation package), it really takes an effort and a lot of time. The package was sent to Carl for final evaluation and was thrown back about 2 1/2 seconds lat...

Re: Long Load

Hello Stz, The long loading time is probably caused by CDT finding it's relevant nodes in the scene. In order to do this, we need to traverse through each and every node in the scene to determine wether the node is part of CDT or not. So if you have a large scene with multiple nodes this identificat...

Re: 3d connexion space pilot mouse with Observer Cam

Try set the rotation and movement response factors to 1 in the configuration dialog. (There should be 6 of them, for each direction) Also try increase the maximum speed for the movement (rotation should already be fine). The default settings migh be a bit sluggish when using such a precision instrum...

Re: 3d connexion space pilot mouse with Observer Cam

Exactly what device have you purchased? We have been able to test our software on the Spacepilot and space navigator series and they should work without problem. The other devices should have no problem either, but there might be something we have missed. Following are some suggestions which might e...

Re: Key reduction

To decrease the number of keys to sample, temporarilly reduce your FPS settings to a lower value. CDT uses the current FPS setting as it's sampling rate. Once the recording is finished, you can set the FPS value back to your original one. As Stefan already mentioned, this will of course reduce your ...

Re: Path Constraints Autonomous Mode

This is nothing i've ever seen before. It seems only spinners do appear in the config dialog. What is even more strange is that you do get buttons in the load profile dialog, but not in the config dialog. The screenshot uses a different set of colors rather than the default. Is this derived from the...
