Yes, at certain limits it will spin out of control so no you are not able to get it to behave as quickly as an RC Helicopter can be. My work around suggestion would be to simply animate in the "slower" speed and then bump up the speed of the frames/compress the keys created to make it look quicker....

By the way I tried with one surface with release version 16 in 3ds max 2017 and animated terrain going up and down, forward and backwards and the car still did not go up or down almost like the terrain was treated as stationary . Another update:
after I click use dynamic meshes and then hit close and go back to the main preferences the box is unchecked again. For some reason it is not saving this option

ok it looks like we were able to get it to work including control/ The only problem adding wind turb and adjusting it after that helicopter gets out of control even after deleting wind turb maybe a bug?
