Re: Firepower - Muzzle Velocity - Maya Scale

Thank you Yuris for your observations and input! We are aware of some issues with the collisions in firepower and we will try to improve the tool as soon as possible. There is no deadline for it yet but the plan is to extend the Firepower to a full physics tool with improved collision detection so th...

Re: Firepower - Muzzle Velocity - Maya Scale

Hello Yuris! The muzzle velocity of the bullets are dependent on the scale of the gun in Firepower. If you scale down the gun to half, the muzzle velocity will also decrease to half. There is however a bug in the Firepower that always divides the muzzle velocity by 4. This is something that we will ...

Re: How to modify the tamk with a flaccidity track too much?

Hello sniperswf! One way to remove flaccidity even more is to increase the number of subframes. This will increase the accuracy of the simulation. This is the parameter just below the Flaccidity Reduction parameter. The default value is 10, so try with a value like 15-20. Be careful increasing it to...

2009-04-03 - Plugin Development: No prize this time

We didn't win the competition yesterday. but it still was a fun and we got to talk to alot of interesting people. So it was not at all a waste of time for us. People we talked to were both impressed of what we do and thought we had a good business idea. There were also people just coming up to us an...

2009-04-02 - Plugin Development: Planting trees

I'm right now updating the tree functionality in our main dialog. Do you have any recommendations on how you want it to work. Now is the time to present them ;) I will soon leave the office, to attend to a forum where our company is in a competition. Our CEO will hold a short presentation among seve...

2009-03-30 - Plugin Development: Too much

I know I've been lousy writing blog posts the last weeks. It can be because of these things, pick one: 1) I've have had really much to do the last weeks. The time for writing blog posts has not been prioritized. 2) Since I've been doing almost the same things the entire time, I haven't had so much f...

Our deadline is tomorrow and we have tons of things left. But the result will be good, both for us here and for you users. 2009-03-13 - Plugin Development: Hard work is waiting

We all had a lot to do this week with our current project. We have a deadline soon, which we hopefully can hold. But it will take a lot of work next week, I think even some overtime is required. That is not a problem for me. Luckily I have no plans for next week ;)

2009-03-09 - Plugin Development: No more rest

Back to work again! And it's not that I can relax a bit and just enjoy coming back. No! It's more to do than ever. And it has to be done quick. I will work night and day the coming two weeks. But I don't complain, I like it. (Well, let's see what I think about it in two weeks  ). Today has be...

2009-02-20 - Plugin Development: Vacation!

This is my last day here at the office, at least for two weeks. I will be on vacation. But it won't be a relaxing and boring vacation. First I am going to participate in the competition called "Halvvasan" together with Micael (and three more friends). This event is arranged in relation with the comp...

2009-02-17 - Plugin Development: Tonight is the night!

Tonight has not so much to do with work, but it will still be fun! We've been invited to participate in a game night at the gamehouse in Liseberg. Liseberg is an amusement park here in Gothenburg. We will have several hours of free playtime with the machines there. Airhockey, Sega rally, clay-pigeon...

2009-02-13 - Plugin Development: Struggling with GUI

How come everything has a tendency to be harder than you initially think? I have been struggling with a GUI-matter that just won't give in. You find a way to either solve or avoid a problem and of course a new problem appears directly. I guess every day in a programmers life is like that, but today ...

2009-02-11 - Plugin Development: Back in the game

I came back to the office this week. I've been in Monaco on the Imagina-convention. I've been standing in a booth for three days and my feet is still feeling sore. Micael has during this time made a lot of work with our new GUI. I have been trying to get into the Micaels work this week. I will conti...

2009-02-02 - Plugin Development: Preparing for Imagina

I'm going to Monaco tomorrow morning! We will participate in the Imagina convention 4-6 Feb. So I won't be in the office for the rest of the week. I've been preparing for the event today, installing all needed files on the laptop and packing all necessary things. I will be standing in our booth at t...

2009-01-28 - Plugin Development: Finally (v.2)

I learned in high school that when you're estimating how long time a project can take to finish, always multiply the estimated time with pi and you get a good estimate on how long the project really will take. This method really worked on our restructuring-of-our-repository-project that we planned t...
