The break caliper is missing out in the 4-Wheeler free and is only available with the commersial version. There is probably a way to set up a constraint which will make the caliper not rotate, but i'm sorry to say my Maya experience is not enough to help you with that.

Make sure all tools are active while recording. Each tool has a key next to it, which indicates wether they should be recorded or not. Are any of them disabled?

Use the 4-Wheeler and ExtaWheels as the steering wheels. Place the wheels from the 4-Wheeler on the axes which move while you steer. then place the 4-Wheeler pivot pin on one of the axes which doesn't move. My personal favorite is actually just an ordinary gamepad with analog sticks. Just don't use it as a digital gamepad and smash the sticks all the way to the left or right once you need to turn, the gamepad can give you a very good level of detail in your steering. Hi Andy, No, the 49322 port is something the licensing system uses internally. But the problem you describe indeed originates from a bad pointer to the server. Hi Simon,

The autodetect feature and the actual recording uses the same input routine and if you detect the device it should also work when recording. Did you save the scene in between? Can you verify the axis is still bound in the input settings?

Which input(s) did you bind the axis(es) to?
