Re: Spline Speed Controller Time Delay
I have a scene where I want the time delay to be 1350 frames and it looks like the maximum value is 1000 frames. Is there a way to change that? Thanks! No it does not seem like something you can adjust and something we should look at fixing. I suggest that you play with the inputs to get what you n...

Re: Bicycle Group and CAT Bone Linking
I created a CAT Bone Base Human Biped in 3DS Max 2020. I'm having a problem figuring out the parenting between the bones and the bicycle rig. The CAT Biped hierarchy is set to the following: Pelvis >Left Thigh > Left Calf > Left Foot (linked to left foot platform helper) >Right Thigh > Right Calf >...

Re: Strange turning extra wheels
Hi We have a car with 12 wheels. 8 of them are extra wheels. They sometimes turn very fast if I slightly turn my steering wheel. IS it a bug? I am using the latest version Link to the video through we transfer https://wetransfer.com/downloads/2b6446dbb79d0ca797e302643702da6120210215024551/22289e5ab...

Re: floating License needing port changed
Hi Josh and welcome to the forum. I believe that the issues you are facing are because you have a license structure mismatch between the license server and CDS. So, my suggestions is that you make sure to install the latest version of CDS (v20.2.4) and the latest version of the license server (v14)....

Re: Extra Wheel Rotates on the Z Axis
Another issue. I was able to create my truck and trailer animation in 3DS Max using the spline speed controller and everything worked perfect. However, I exported only the truck and trailer (3D objects) to an FBX file and baked the animation. I imported the FBX file into Lumion (another visualizati...

Yes, in the configuration for the ExtraWheel you are able enable the "Fixate Wheel" which disables it from turning i the movement direction.

Re: Use animated car in Unreal Engine 4
Hello guys, thank you very much for this input! I still haven't figured out how to set up the constraints for for position (translation) and orientation (rotation) instead of making the parts children of the rig. Can someone show a screenshot of rigging one wheel? Would help me so much! I am trying...

Is it possible to zoom with the mouse wheel, or keyboard modifier, so that when I zoom in, the camera doesn't level off? More like the controls in Google Earth for example. Using the arrow keys on the keyboard as input works just fine. However, the mouse is not supported to use as an input device i...

When making the datasmith export make sure that you are exporting the active time frame and that the craft dummy meshes are visible so they are included in the export.sujususeelan wrote: ↑Tue Nov 24, 2020 9:46 pmHi could you please tell me 3dsmax datasmith export animation how to work in ue4

There are currently no plans to add autonomous mode to the helicopter. You are actually the first, of what I can remember, that have asked for this feature.

Re: Use animated car in Unreal Engine 4
FIXED IT! I long suspected that the issue with the wheels had something to do with pivot point, and it appears that was the case. I don't know what's happening under the hood - but when I baked the pivot point, the issue was resolved. Whether a single geometry or in a group, I have imported the car...

Re: Use animated car in Unreal Engine 4
Hi, I am having similar problems where exporting animated mesh from maya to unreal doesn't work as expected. I have constrained my model to the craft rig, baked the keys and exported both fbx and abc. The body of the car moves correctly, but the wheels act as if their pivot point has been changed. ...

Re: Noob looking for suggestions.
Any suggestions of the amount of auto vs myself controlling or is trying to set up a speed spline tool the best way or what? Any help is appreciated! I would use a combination. Use a spline to make the base guide and then use the controller to deviate from that path. This will also give you better ...

Re: General Propeties vs input propeties
Hi, What's the difference between General Propeties vs input propeties/ While general properties has gravel roughness and input has shake amplitude. It's kind of confusing? A lot of duplicated systems. Same for burn out and skid, etc. Would be nice to have these simplified or not scatter settings i...

Re: Spinning car on icy road
Maybe you could try a combination of skidding and External Force. Position the External Force arrow so that it is pointing towards the rear side of the vehicle and then when driving, hold down the skidding button and press the External force button. I haven't tried this myself, it's just of the top...
