We're putting together a short proof-of-concept for our short film that uses CDS. We just finished a first-pass version, using Craft 4-Wheeler for vehicle animations. We're going to add Craft cameras in the next version.

power slide
Hey guys, I was wondering how you would recommend going about doing a power slide with 4-Wheeler extended. We'd like to simulate the kind of drifting you might get when the road surface is wet.
Any suggestions at all would be appreciated.
Congrats on the 3ds max deal, by the way!

feedback
Hey guys, just upgraded to version 10. we're going to put the system through its paces in the next few weeks, and I'll be sure to put up feedback as we go along. First off, though, I just want to say that I really like the new features in the 'help' documentation -- the animated examples are a good ...

Keyframing Spinners
I am curious if there is any way to keyframe spinner values by hand -- I would love to add varying levels of shake to the humanizerCam, but I find the spinner controls to be pretty cumbersome. If not, is there any way to change the level of sensitivity? For example, I'm using a logitech controller t...

Re: 4 wheelrExt in max 2010
My understanding is that a beta of the new version should be coming soon that adds a jumping feature back in -- not sure when this is going to happen, but it can't be soon enough for me!

I'm going to throw my own hat into the ring as well in support of the gravity/jumping feature. You have no idea how happy you'll make me when they're added.

Re: Ray Caster Max Distance
this works perfectly!
I realize raycaster may not be high on the list of priorities for you guys, but we're using it already to get some pretty interesting results. I'll put a few animation tests up on the "user-created content" forum as soon as we get some done.
Thanks again!

Ray Caster Max Distance
Hey there guys, I've been working with Ray Caster a bit, and I cannot find the "max distance" setting that is in the tutorial on youtube. Am I missing something? We're hoping to use ray caster pretty heavily, so it'll be good to know if this is in the cards or not. thanks again! (this is the last qu...

Re: Old Tutorial
Yeah, I've actually watched just about all of the new tutorials now. I liked that one because it followed the entire workflow, from spline to vehicle to cameras. The end result was an excellent example of just what kind of result you can get from the system, and it made a good reference when I was c...

Old Tutorial
Hey guys. I remember a tutorial that used to be available on YouTube (or on the old Craft site) of a setup in Maya using the spline speed controller and 4Wheeler in autonomous mode to create a basic race circuit. It also ran through a few of the camera tools, and I thought it was a pretty good overv...

jumping 4-wheeler
Hey everyone! I've been perusing the forums, and I just wanted to clarify if there is no built-in "jumping" system for 4Wheeler Ext. If so, is this a feature that will be coming back any time soon? What other methods exist to get the same kind of effect? I'm working on a short film that involves a l...
