Re: Using mr Proxy on Craft
ive rendered this animation in 3 hours with the daylight system and mr proxy. and basicly attached it to one of my craft crawler test i have done before with the leopard C2. the Leopard C2 has around 200 000 polygones in total. there was no performance issues at all. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C...

Re: Using mr Proxy on Craft
Thank you for the reply. We were having memory issues in the pass, hence why was looking at the mr proxy. From what i saw that can be done with Mr Proxy and how much memory is saved. This will probably be pushing us to developed high poly version of our tanks and vehicles and move on from using game...

Re: Traffic with spline speed controller and 4wheeler extended
from my understanding of mr proxy. it reduces the amount of memory used in the max files. most likely this will improve the peformance of animating and simulating. what mr proxy does is it takes the geometry and caches it into an .mi files which is then referenced and used inside of max. the only do...

Using mr Proxy on Craft
from what i understand from mr proxy, they reduce the amount of memory by referencing the object outside of the max file. so would it be posible to link an mr proxy instead of a mesh on craft. from what i saw was possible to render using mr proxy, i could use our high poly models and put them to use...

Re: craft crawler tracks vs VUE7 terain
the machines we have were built for vista 64 bit but for some reason there was extra money given to dell to modify these machine for 32 bit. which i find underly unlogical. why go backwards expecialy for a devellopers PC. thank you guys for the replys. we will be using a lower mesh from vue just for...

Re: craft crawler tracks vs VUE7 terain
correct. after driving around on the vue terrain [which is 100k polygones] and then save the file [Leo_craft_final_simulated.max] that max file would be imposible to reopen again. i would only simulated around 300 frames also. max would load for a phew minutes but it would be freazed as its being op...

craft crawler tracks vs VUE7 terain
what is the poly count limit of a scene that the craft plug-in can handle. we create our enviroments using vue7 and if we make the terain too high poly and use it with craft. the next time we try opening that file will result in a fatal error and we would not be able to open the file ever. [this onl...

Max file corruption after simulation of crawler tracks
for some enexplicable reason after simulating the tank tracks and save as a seperate file. when i reopen that file it crash and burnes out max. at some point max goes into 1.2 gigs of memory used just for max. how can i work around this? i want to be able to reopen these files incase there are tweak...
