Re: Slowing down a SIM
Well, basically, I need my existing simulation to be slower. I do not want to Re Drive the car. I just want it to go slower. I animated it with a 24FPS set up. The animation is at 15 seconds. And I need to extend it to 25 seconds, again, without re driving the car. So winch option is best? Thanks Ca...

Slowing down a SIM
How can you "slow down" and vehicle SIM (4-Wheeler Ext)?
I created a SIM in Maya with a frame rate of 24FPS, and now I need to slow it down.
What part of the configuration do I need to adjust so I can re-simulate it and render it out.
Thanks in advance!

Suspension Tutorials
Hello,
I am going to simulate an ATV (Quad Runner), and I want to apply the suspension parts to the SIM. Are there tutorials on this aspect of the 4-Wheeler EXT?
Thanks

Re: Taking a craft simulation from Max To Maya
UPDATE: I was able to take the animation over from Max to Maya via FBX import/export plug in. You choose what you want to export 9minus the 4-Wheeler EXT objects)...and in the export options, make sure you have checked the "Animation--------Baked Animation" boxes, and be sure the frame range you wan...

Taking a craft simulation from Max To Maya
Hello, Is it possible to take a craft simulation (4_Wheeler Ext) that was done in 3DS Max and bring the entire scene into Maya AND still retain the settings of the simulation? I'm being asked to do this at work. My gut feeling is that it CANNOT be done and that the whole thing would have to be re si...

Adding more sway to a vehicle when it comes to a stop
What adjustments do I make to make a car "sway" or "settle" more when I come to a hard stop or Skid stop? I want the car to 'rock" a bit more from side to side before it completely stops moving. So it looks more realistic.
Thanks!
Robert
Thanks!

Re: Autonomous Adjustments
Thanks Luigi, I'm running the car on a path. Because I want it to be more controlled as it is driving through "city streets" environment. But I did what you said and it made a big difference. I just need to dial down the car car after it exits the turn to make it straighten out sooner. How do you ge...

Autonomous Adjustments
Hello,
I'm using the "Autonomous" mode and using the "slippery" configuration to run a car. Am I able to adjust the "slipping" of the car as it takes a corner? Or is that pre-rigged? Right now, its slipping too much for me and I would like to tone that down.
Thanks in advance!

Braking the vehicle on a spline
Are you able to get "natural" braking on a 4 wheel vehicle when it is running on a spline (autonomous mode).???
I'm "racing" two vehicles side by side and I want them to stop with the natural physics of the cars weight. Or better yet..have them skid.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Car race scenario
Hey David, that works! But Im gonna look for a more "controlled" way to run them on a highway...that way as I film then one speeds up over the other and vice versa as they take turns etc.
But what you suggested is a good starting point.
Thanks!

Attaching Wheel Calipers
I'm sure this probably has been covered before. But I'm new to the forum.
What do you attach the the Wheel Calipers (brake pads), to on the "dummy" car? They need to turn with the wheels but not spin!
Any advice?
Thanks in advance!
