I think the Craft Animations is out of business

No recent replies from company personal on these forums and no updates on their website has me assuming this.

Has anybody spoken to any of the team via phone or email lately?

Lunar Rover (Again)

About a year ago I asked a question about how to rig a lunar rover. Well, I am back at it, this time with a new model. Attached is a screenshot of the rover and the red arrows point to where the suspension would be (I guess). NOTE: This rover does not have the ability to turn (only go forward and ba...

Rotating a propeller

As the title says I want to use my gamepad to start up a propeller. I could use parts of the helicopter but I was wondering if there was another tool that I could link my propeller to and rotate?

Re: animation

It's not close, but I went to the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). I graduated some years ago (1999) with a BFA in Computer Art and they had some good facilities (they are probably very good now). Your chances of finding a school with a CGI program is much better now than it was back in th...

Rover Rig Help

Gentlemen, I am trying to create a moon rover and it works using the crawlerExt. The only problem is the geometry that is supposed to be the suspension is not moving up and down as the wheels move over the terrain. I've attached a sample max file of it rigged in hopes you can tell me what I need to ...

Gentlemen,

Is there a quick rig setup I can use to get a better feel for suspension with a vehicle?

Luigi's Crawler Tracks Video Tutorial

I just checked the video and besides the fact that Luigi sounds like he had some helium before making this video :) I have a question. Is this just a simple, quick way to demonstrate how to set up Crawler Tracks? I ask this because there is no use of the Cog Wheels or Extra Wheel tools. Has the work...

Carl, I finally got back to this and opened the file. Will this only work if the wheels are not turning like in the max file?

I believe you can press on the Convert to Freeform button under the Biped section of the Motion Panel. It's just like doing the unplugged thing with the Craft tools.

Re: 8 wheeled APC questions

Gentlemen! It's been a while since I've been on here but I am back and the new site looks great. I'm now set up with CDS on Max 2010 and ready to tackle some old projects from earlier in 2009. Are there any enhancements to the tools that would help me out compared to a year ago? I still want to work...
