Re: Bump in the road (literally)
OK, we figured it out. There was not an actual bump in the roadway. It happened to coincide with a way point on the spline speed controller. That particular way point had a more aggressive deceleration value than it should have which resulted in what appeared from the inside to be a bump in the road...

Re: [Problem] 4WheelerExt + 2 ExtraWheel
I have seen some geometry not allow correct linking for the craft tools to function correctly.
If you are using Max, export the geometry as an obj or fbx, then re-import.
I am assuming you linked the top square part to your vehicle..
Hoe this helps,
David

I have a project where I am driving a Tractor trailer down a segment of road. 4Wheel extended and trailer with extra wheels is being used.. There is one spot where the Tractor Dips for some reason. We are using a spline speed controller as well. I have: 1. Added geometry to try to smooth it out 2. R...

Can Not enter numbers in Spline Speed controller fields
We have run into a problem with Craft (11.1.4) spline speed controller not letting us enter values in the spinner boxes. We used to see this problem in XP but have migrated to W7. The solution in XP was to close Max and reopen the file, then you could enter the values. If you open notepad, and type ...

Micael,
Would the application run inside Director Studio or would it be free standing?
Thanks for the feedback,
David

Re: Is there a way to show the acceleration Rate?
Simple for you Micael
What would be involved with writing a script that would use something like 2 dummies, one stationary the other attached to an object, then print the value in the max script listener (I could take it from there)?
Thanks for your help.

Is there a way to show the acceleration Rate?
Is there a way to display what the rate of acceleration of a Craft 4WXT object is?
Many times we are given certain acceleration rates by our clients and it would be handy to have a feature like that (assuming it does not exist currently).
Thanks,
David

Re: Spline speed controller Vehicle problem
OK, we purchased the new version of Spline speed controller, 4wheelext and trailer. After some problems on the installation of the max 2009 64 bit version (it did not create the correct .gup file in the plugins directory) we were able to see the spline speed controller but NOW we get an application ...

Re: Spline speed controller Vehicle problem
Luigi, I am not using the latest version (waiting to hear back from your sales department so I can upgrade), we purchased our version last year. Under the 4wheelext input property parameters we have: Steering Wheel (Right/Left) Response Factor.. This is already set to 0.1 Steering Wheel (Right/Left)...

Spline speed controller Vehicle problem
3ds Max, 2009, all Service packs, XP 64, Dual Quad Core Xeons, 32 GB RAM We are using the Spline speed controller and the 4 wheel ext (and think they are great by the way). The biggest problem we have is with the deceleration. Our vehicle (using craft 4 wheel ext in autonomous mode) is very jerky as...

Yes i used SynthEyes to track it.Enigma229 wrote:The one of the Jetta (bottom video) driving around a Cracker Barrel parking lot.
I was just curious if you used any camera tracking program (Synth Eyes, MatchMover etc.)
Thanks,

Re: A camera Match example using craft
Which one are you refering too, there are 3 on that page?
If you mean the truck piece, I used 3 views and took the first frame from each view to make a 3 frame sequence.
I matched the targets in all three frames, that gave me depth for the shot.
Hope that helps.

A camera Match example using craft
Here is an example I put on my site incorporating camera matching and the Craft 4wext.
There is nothing special about the motion, but I thought you may want to see it anyway.

Re: Craft Animation - Collision Help me
A crash Engine? Really? 1. Any idea when this will be released? 2. Will it be available as an upgrade to the current 4wext? 3. We would be interested in testing it.. There have been various beta releases (such as the 4wext beta). Do you have a projected date when these will be released? Best regards...
