Weird. It now works even after resim.
Seems like it is a tiny tad buggy sometimes but now it works.

simulate -> move vehicle & rewind -> resimulate = snap!
I've performed a simulation on a 4WheelerExt and then I realized I wanted it to start further away from the camera .. so, I moved the rig further away and hit "resimulate". That obviously was just a shot in the dark and did not work well at all .. so, I moved the rig to the far-away position, re-ini...

Re: (not wanted) initial boost
I'm not importing any animation data, however, I am using references.
We've got the rigged model in its own scene (no animation data) which we reference into our animation scene where we create the Craft simulations.

Re: (not wanted) initial boost
That's what I did in the end. And I had to manually take away the funny boosts (or if I reinitialize, the "cut" in animation that will appear).
But this has so far happened on three different scenes ...so it's not a one time thing.

Re: Align car to steep road
Nope, no jump enabled.
Actually, it seems like it might have something to do with the suspensions... I tweaked the maximum tilt angle and it looks much better now.

Re: (not wanted) initial boost
I am on up2date and I haven't gotten any update warnings in Maya (ever, actually). Earlier I had the same issue (8 days ago) with having an old version of ExtraWheel installed and I was told to download the latest version. I downloaded and installed the bundle off your website but that did not help....

(not wanted) initial boost
Almost every time I've done a simulation I'm pretty satisfied with -- but want to go back and just tweak a few things ... I get an initial boost just after hitting the "record" button. See this example . In the example, the vehicle is standing still and just wobbling a bit since the suspensions are ...

Align car to steep road
I'm having issues with being able to make the car align with the road... I am aware of that this is not physically correct in any way: Example movie (play back with VLC) How can I make the car actually point towards the sky, launching up? Right now the wheels are doing it right but not the chassis o...

3 wheeler?
How can I create a 3 wheeler? Right now, I've moved both front wheels of my 4WheelerExt so that they reside in the same place. Feels a little dodgy but it looks pretty good when driving. Any ideas on if I should do this any other way? This is the kind of vehicle I'm rigging: http://www.3wheelers.com...

References
Hi everyone! References are very useful in production but they won't work with Craft if you've performed a simulation on the scene which you would like to reference into another scene. This is because the animation curves are considered being part of what you are not allowed to modify on a reference...

My highres trailer model that I've got is way much more wider than the Craft trailer. I'm trying to simply move the craft tires out but the weirdest thing happens ...

Re: extraweel scale problem?
I downloaded the file from the link specified in your previous post, installed it, launched my scene and created an extrawheel. Same issue again.
Can I somehow dig up the version number of my plugin installed?

Re: extraweel scale problem?
This bug was corrected in the the latest version of Craft Director Tools , released 2008-07-16. Please download and install it (no need to uninstall your current version) and you shouldn't encounter this problem (it only occurs when using NURBS surfaces in Maya). Oh allright. Which version is this?...

Re: extraweel scale problem?
I also have a weird problem with extrawheel. I'm simply creating it, scaling and positioning it, parenting the gravityMesh to the ground plane, parenting in the suspensionMesh under the chassisRelocatorMesh and then I hit record... (as instructed in the manual ). Check this screencap . What am I doi...

Truck rig
Hi, I am using the 4WheelerExt (Director Tools 1.8.1 in Maya 2008 32-bit) to create something similar to a Peterbilt with trailer. I'm just going through the 4WheelerExt manual but any tips or pointers would be much appreciated. Are there any tutorials around on rigging a truck with trailer? Right n...
